UCNY hosts an Annual Summer Retreat and two Winter Retreats at Trinity Conference Center located in West Cornwall CT. The Summer Retreat is held over a six day, five night period at the beginning of July and is led by Senior Minister Paul Tenaglia and Associate Minister Carlos W. Anderson with music by Spiritus. The Winter Retreats occur over a three day weekend (two nights, three days) and are led by Paul Tenaglia with music by a guest vocalist. Retreats offer a chance to get to know our fellow travelers on the spiritual path and to deepen our spiritual awareness in a safe environment.
Trinity Conference Center is located on a bend in the
Housatonic River, just a half-mile from the covered bridge
in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains, on 500 forest
acres. The accommodations are wonderful. All rooms have
private bathrooms and many overlook the Housatonic River
and the remainder of the forest. The food is world class!
The wonderful chefs at Trinity create a variety of delicious
vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine with mouthwatering
deserts - three meals a day. This, in addition to the running
river and the magnificent woods, provides the perfect atmosphere
to remind us of our oneness with God.
The retreat experience is unforgettable and has often
been described as life-changing. Many people have experienced
major spiritual breakthroughs that have changed the course
of their lives. Retreats can also serve as a chance to
take time apart for rejuvenation. As one retreatant wrote
to Paul after attending the Winter Retreat - “…the
short few hours that I spent with you and all of the wonderful
people at the retreat this weekend did more for me than
my vacation in Paradise ‘St. Lucia’, just a
week before.”
Retreats help us to remember who we are and to know that
anything is possible with God.
Did we mention, the food is AWESOME?!!? |
