Sunday mornings before service, join us for a pre-service discussion group. The group is led by different Unity of New York teachers each week. The topics of discussion are based on a chosen book, which is discussed weekly.* All are welcome and encouraged to join the discussion and although the readings are recommended, no one is required to read the book in order to attend the class. This is a great way to enjoy some fellowship before service and meet up with like-minded people on the spiritual path. Note: B.Y.O.B. policy – Bring Your Own Breakfast
This week, we will begin discussion on the book
The Ten Challenges: Spiritual Lessons from the Ten Commandments for Creating Meaning, Growth, and Richness Every Day of Your Life
by Dr. Leonard Felder
This book focuses on the wisdom of the writings commonly known as Ten Commandments as a source of guidance on how to live a meaningful and satisfying life. Written from the perspective of a psychologist, the book focuses on practical living, not on religious instruction. Interpretations from all major religions, as well as philosophical and psychological thought are drawn on to make this a well-rounded and broad-based analysis of the timeless wisdom of the Ten Commandments.
