Stephanie Schmiderer - President
Stephanie was born in Vienna, Austria,
where she studied acting and received a Ph.D. in cultural
anthropology. Her numerous and diverse work experiences
range from teaching, co-curating exhibitions and festivals,
editing and publishing in the field of cultural anthropology,
as well as acting in classical and avant-garde theatre
and film.
Stephanie first came to Unity in 1999 and became a member
in 2002, since then she has continuously served on the
Stewardship Team. She became a Member of the Board of
Trustees in 2003 and has served as president since 2004.
Stephanie considers Unity of New York her spiritual home and is extremely grateful
for all the metaphysical teachings and deeper understanding she has received
here - to awaken and express the Christ Light within and realize her oneness
with God. |

Sarah Dacey Charles - Vice President
Sarah Dacey Charles has served Unity Church of New
York as a founding member of Spiritus, a soloist, co-director
of the Chaplain program and Vice President of Unity’s
Board of Trustees.
For the last 15 years, Sarah has worked professionally
as an actor on Broadway, in cabaret, voice-overs, and
regional theatre. Besides performing, she co-executive
produced a best selling album for Girl Scouts, USA. Also,
Sarah enjoys bringing order and peace of mind to individuals
through her work as a personal organizer. She now runs
her own business in this field: “Order made Easy:
Organizational Solutions For Lasting Change”. |

Stephen Rivera - Secretary
Steve Rivera was born and raised in New Orleans, LA.
He received his bachelor degree in Drama/Communications
from the University of New Orleans in 1984. Since then
he has enjoyed a wonderful 28 year career having worked
for some major global corporations in the areas of
sales, marketing, public relations and merchandising.
Steve's first experience
with Unity was at the Roosevelt
Hotel as he heard Paul say, "You
are perfect the way you are
right now!" Steve says, "My
life has changed in such
amazing ways and has become
so incredibly positive since
that first day at Unity,
it just blows my mind!"
Steve boasts of living a rich, completely prosperous and fulfilling life in all
ways and attributes this to God working through Unity and his Unity family. |

John Reid - Treasurer
John Reid and his wife, Mary Liz, have been with
Unity Church of NY since it's beginning. Unity has
been a large assistance to John enjoying his journey
He sees being on the board as a great opportunity
to give back to an organization that has been so
helpful to him. He is grateful for the chance to
be of service.
John was born in Detroit and raised in Flint, Michigan.
John works as an architect, and received his education
at the University of Michigan. (Ask him about Michigan
football!)
John is known to take his work very seriously, but
does not take himself seriously. This may explain
why one of his role models is Michael Palin. John
is very happy when on the golf course, or traveling |

Steven Bogard -
Member at Large
Steve Bogard first came to Unity in 1995 in search
of a New Thought Home. When Unity of New York was
founded with Paul Tenaglia as Minister, he was
there to be a part of that new beginning. Steve
has had a lengthy career in Theatre including Broadway
and Regional credits; Sky Masterson Guys and Dolls,
Dr. Jekyl Jekyl and Hyde, Adam/Noah Children of
Eden to name a few. He now owns a Construction
Company, Bogie & Cy The House Guys, in Maplewood
NJ where he creates beautiful new spaces. Steve
has been a member of Spiritus for nine years and
is delighted to be a board member.

Kathy Threats-Grant -
Member at Large
Kathy Threats-Grant was introduced to Unity teachings
in 2000. She began attending Unity Church of New
York in 2002, and became a member in 2005. She
currently serves as a member of the Chaplain Team
and Voices in Unity and is happy to be the newest
member welcomed onto the Board of Trustees for
Unity Church of New York.
Kathy says the Unity teachings have made a profound
impact in every area of her life. “I remember
the first time I walked into Unity. I heard the
music and as I was so warmly welcomed, I was overcome
with joy. I entered a sacred space filled with
people genuinely happy to be there. The message
of love, hope, and unlimited possibilities spoke
to my heart.”
After spending sixteen years in health care, Kathy
has for the past ten years been enjoying her career
in the field of Adult Basic Education. She resides
in Brooklyn with her husband of seventeen years.
