HISTORY OF NEW THOUGHT & UNITY MOVEMENT with Rev Shawn Moninger

July 11, 2017 @ 6:15 pm - 7:45 pm EDT

HISTORY OF NEW THOUGHT & DEVELOPMENT OF THE UNITY MOVEMENT

with Rev Shawn Moninger

The NEW THOUGHT Movement of the late 1800’s began in New England with a small group of individuals who wanted to know more about life and how to live it in health and well-being. They discovered that the Source of their health started in their way of thinking. This practice found its way to Unity co-founders Myrtle and Charles Fillmore of Kansas City, who were seeking an alternative to a diagnosis of death for Myrtle Fillmore’s tuberculosis experience. The Fillmores made the same commitment others before them had made to a radical change in thinking, praying and the spoken word to manifest wholeness in mind, body, relationships and finances.

Unity is one of the largest sustaining New Thought movements in the world.  In these eight weeks we will study the stories and practices of those Spiritual Scientists who paved the way for all of us.
