Dear Unity of New York Community -
In 2024, Unity of New York is celebrating 25 years of successful ministry in New York City! Based on the encouraging attendance and excitement at our in-person Sunday Service and Town Hall meeting in November,
along with our numerous December events, we enter 2024 with renewed enthusiasm as a community, including our goal of more frequent In-Person services this year.
It was terrific to see so many of you at the array of festive in-person activities in December, including the USA Broadway Museum adventure and holiday luncheon; our December 17th Christmas service at Symphony Space, followed by an afternoon of holiday fellowship with the Christmas Cookie Exchange and reading of Matt Hoverman’s “Christmas Shorts”, and the beautiful Christmas Candlelight service at St Michael’s.
To clarify information that was shared at the November Town Hall meeting, in order to fully sustain and maintain weekly in-person Sunday services currently requires approximately $4,000 of additional income per week. We
continue to explore creative ways to bring us together more often, including the ongoing search for a more cost-effective rental space. We appreciate the ideas many of you have shared. It indeed takes a village, and what a
village we have!
We know in good faith that we live in an abundant universe, and we hold continual prayers of prosperity for our sacred Unity community. Consider the spiritual support and sustenance that Unity of New York provides,
including dynamic weekly services; inspiring speakers; the Sunday morning Quest; classes, workshops, and groups; uplifting music with Spiritus, Voices In Unity, outstanding vocalists, and our Unity band; fellowship
gatherings and special services; and of course our powerful Prayer Chaplain ministry that keeps us grounded in prayer 24/7. As a chosen family, we know that we are strong, able, and willing to sustain our
visualized goals this year – and for the next 25 years and beyond!
Our 5 th Unity Principle reminds us that we need to act on our positive thoughts and desires, so we ask everyone in the community to consider how you will take action this year.
